מָֽה־אֱ֖נוֹשׁ כִּֽי־תִזְכְּרֶ֑נּוּ וּבֶן־אָ֜דָ֗ם כִּ֣י תִפְקְדֶֽנּוּ:

וַתְּחַסְּרֵ֣הוּ מְ֖עַט מֵֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְכָב֖וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר תְּעַטְּרֵֽהוּ:

What is man that You should remember him, and the son of man that You should be mindful of him ? Yet You have made him slightly less than the angels, and You  have crowned him whith glory and majesty. (Ps. 8 : 5-6).

Qu’est-ce donc l’homme que tu penses à lui ? Le fils d’Adam que tu le protèges ? Pourtant tu l’as fait presque l’égal des êtres divins ;Tu l’as couronné de gloire et de magnificence !  (Ps.8 :5-6).
